Porous: Words on the Road

In 2023, Kate determined to spend a year studying the art of writing and, over the course of exactly thirteen months, attended Aspen Summer Words, the Mendocino Coast Writers’ Conference, a somatic writing workshop in Oregon, the Iceland Writers Retreat, the Santa Fe International Literary Festival, the Writing League of Texas’ Agents + Editors Conference, and the Voyages, Vision and Voices literary salon with Cheryl Strayed and Rachel DeWoskin in Greece. She intentionally chose all the most beautiful places to learn how to write and is working on a narrative nonfiction project about this experience.
